EXCEL stands for Excellence in Character, Education and Leadership.  The goals of this opportunity are to provide a means for middle and high school students, grades 6-12, to mature in Christian character and excel in educational endeavors that develop skills in Godly leadership.  EXCEL will be a positive learning environment, not meant to replace home instruction, but instead, to enrich and enhance what is taught at home.  Middle and high school students will be offered:

• Opportunities to work in a structured, positive environment, under the supervision of teachers and/or parents who have a passion for their subject area.
• Opportunities to develop the maturity and the responsibility to study independently.
• Opportunities to grow in Christian character, preparing them for the time when they are released from direct parental influence.
• Opportunities to study in a larger group setting.
• Opportunities to foster friendships and build community with other home schooled students who are committed to their Christian faith.
• Opportunities to discover talents and interests from one another, as well as the greater Christian community.

The EXCEL program was established in the 2002-2003 school year.
